After a new YouGov survey from UMass, a drop in Donald Trump’s approval rating was recorded. However, Stephen Colbert was irritated that there are still supporters of the president.

The host of The Late Show explained that Trump’s approval rating fell to 33%.

“One third! That’s just one out of every three people. To put that into perspective, turn to your right. Now turn to your left. Both of those people are more popular than Donald Trump,” he said enthusiastically.

Although 47.2% of Americans say they “strongly disapprove” of the Republican politician, 22.4% of people still strongly approve of Trump’s leadership, which left Stephen Colbert visibly shocked.

“Who are you?!”, he shouted at the camera before starting to mock those people.

“Well, I want gasoline to be expensive! I want the Kennedy Center to be blown up!”, joked Stephen Colbert.

The host said that the disapproval of the Trump administration may be scaring the president, as well as the rise in gasoline prices due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

“Trump just wants to give up and pass his problem on to someone else,” Colbert said, mentioning a post by the president in which he asks other countries around the world to go to the strait to get oil on their own.
